That's a Rufous, isn't it? I have a Juvy Male Ruby-Throated that arrived yesterday. He is extremely AGGRESSIVE! I named him Bubba Hum, of course, cause I'm in the Southeast U.S.

I'm Pretty sure it's a Broad-tailed Thornius.. Dontcha just Love Em tho!!!! Oh Man I have wayyy too many to name em! Serious!!

See now,Broadtail. I'm not very familiar with that one. The only hummers we get in the east are Ruby-Throated, and in Winter the occasional Rufous. I have THREE Hummers in my yard right now. Two adult females and yesterday a Juvenile male. This is the first male I've ever had come to one of my feeders. There's a good chance I will get several more before they all leave for Venezuela.

I love hummers of all kinds though here on the prairies in Canada we have the Ruby Throated kind and they can be quarrelsome at times, at the feeders. Great shot of the little fellow Denise and thanks for your comments on my Lavender Poppy...Canuck :-) Rosemary.
